Bio
I am forever grateful to be on this earth. I like natural beauty, my dog, and I'm most happy in a quiet space.
I am lucky to have the kindness of others. All I want to do is create. I am so grateful for the opportunity.
My life hasn't been all peaches and ice cream, everyone has struggles.
My art is my work, and I would very much like to be a fully independent artist. Acrylic painting was something that gave me a light. I would like my oil paintings to keep my lights on.
Forever learning art.
Artist Statement
About My Art
I work with Acrylics and Oils, on loose Canvas and Wood Panels. I make colourful art to bring joy to the lonely walls. My art is vibrant and full of colour or void of all colour, there is no in between.
Technique
I stepped away for Art for some time. Colouring was my way back in, I was obsessed. The colouring evolved from, dog pictures, to fashion, to mythology then to art history.
I'm very excited to be fortunate enough to express myself creatively, through Oil and Acrylic paintings.
"Fear, to a great extent is born of a story we tell ourselves
and So I choose to tell myself a different story from
the one women are told"
-Cheryl Strayed
(Wild: From the Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail, 2012)
"This afternoon held that special quality of mournful emptiness
I've connected with late Sunday afternoons
ever since childhood: The feeling of having nothing to do"
- Margaret Atwood ("The Edible Woman", 1969)
